Frost Giant

"The ice doesn't forget, brother. You speak as if you know the stories it holds, but you do not. Those giants out there, the ones formed from the first snowfall, they are the ice! They know the stories! They are not a foe we can bite after they have bitten us."
— A man to his brother, on the edge of the tundra

Avalanches

They are the cold given shape, the heart of winter carved into flesh. They are beings of ice and shadow, towering figures etchedin frost, their breath a blizzard and their footsteps leaving frozen wastelands in their wake. To see one is to know the chill of the void between stars, a cold so deep it bites into the soul. Such is the sight of a frost giant.   They dwell far beyond the reach of mortals, in lands where the sun barely rises, and the snow falls endlessly. Their fortresses are glaciers, vast and glittering, carved with an artistry that speaks to eons spent shaping the unyielding ice. They build not for beauty, but for endurance, their halls standing against the howling winds of the ages.   Frost giants are slow to anger, but their rage is as relentless as a winter storm. When provoked, they do not rush into battle. Instead, they move with the inevitability of an avalanche, crushing all in their path. Their weapons are forged from enchanted ice, harder than steel and cold enough to shatter weaker blades with a single strike.

Glaciers

Despite their might, frost giants are not creatures of chaos. They are bound by a strange, ancient honour, a code whispered in the frozen winds and etched into the ice beneath their feet. They value strength and resilience, but they also respect cunning and determination. Mortals who approach them with bravery, or desperation, may find their frost-bitten hearts softened, if only for a moment.   Legends say the frost giants were born from the first winter, their bodies formed of the primordial cold that seeped into the cracks of the world. Others claim they were once mortal, cursed by gods or fate to guard the frozen reaches of existence.   They are timeless, eternal as the ice they command, watching as the world changes and melts around them. To the frost giants, time moves like glaciers; slow, unyielding, and unstoppable. And while they care little for the affairs of mortals, they remember everything, holding the secrets of the cold in their frozen hearts.

I love the description likening them to an avalanche. Such a great visual.
