Prominence

Year 530 of the Tarnished Age

People

The History of Prominence so far

The Vrolua and the Eldara are my two lost civilizations. The Eldaran is the oldest and they were known as the shepherds. They were responsible for controlling the different species that lived upon the planet long ago. If there were an alien race of people, the Eldara would be it. They herded the species on separate continents keeping them isolated from one another. They also culled the numbers of these people to discourage overpopulation.   The Vrolua were a subservient worker species. Through their labor and toil, the Eldara built ancient cities, some which still stand today. After the disappearance of the Eldara, the Vrolua were freed. This ushered in the time of exploration for the species, they mapped the entire world. This age would not last forever though. The Vrolua mysteriously disappeared as well.

Current Species & Cultures

The different cultures are still being cultivated. Here are a few of them.   The Alyri are a race of seafaring people that have learned to tame the mighty seas of Prominence. They have a storied past from a life spent surviving in the far north. They have become great explorers.   The Telruin live in the central hemisphere. The planet is divided into threes. They are responsible for the masked lord culture that currently resides on the continent of Bheid.   The Olnic, or Olna, depending upon the region, reside in Canar and are great craftspeople. They provide many things to other nations from their small continent.   The Rowem are a new people, made primarily of the settling Alyri. They are great explorers of ancient Eldaran and Vrolua sites.

Needs & Relations

The Alyri are tan people that live on the high seas. They need a cure for cinderskin but one does not exist. The Telruin desperately need their own place to live without fear of the Silveiseans. The Silveiseans need and want all of the bide stones, but for an unknown purpose. The Olnic need for the Soan incursions to stop. The Soan need their homeland back. The Optan have no place of their own and are forced to raid for basic needs. So they need a place of their own as well. With so much land, all of them just want a place of their own.
