Ikune Kyofu
(a.k.a. Obsidian)
Ikune is the close quarters and demolitions expert of the HGA. She was born on the US Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, though she ended up being raised in Tokyo for a bit before moving to America. During her time in Tokyo, Ikune would meet Akari, becoming friends at a young age. When the two separated upon moving to America, they still kept in contact. While Ikune's home life wasn't the greatest, she idolized her father, a US Marine, and wanted to follow in his footsteps. Upon graduating high school, Ikune enlisted.
She ended up being trained and deployed in the Middle East, where she would see combat with enemy forces semi-frequently. Life in the military ended up being too stifling for Ikune, and she began to desire more freedom shortly after her deployment. However, after a year, her hopes would be realized upon reconnecting with her old friend Akari, who had pulled some strings to get Ikune honorably discharged. The two, along with a third old friend of theirs', would end up forming the HGA mercenary group, and travelled to Japan. Though they would end up performing small jobs for reasonable pay, their largest contract would fall into their laps shortly after arriving in Tokyo.
The HGA would be assigned as undercover bodyguards for a VIP, Mika Yamanagi, protecting her throughout her final year of high school. The team and their charge would end up growing close, forming a familial bond between each other. Over time, Ikune and Mika formed something deeper than that, and like Akari and Aya before them, the two fell head over heels for each other.
Upon completion of the job, the HGA would continue to be contracted by the Yamanagi Conglomerate while also resuming their mercenary work. Ikune would stay by Mika's side, and eventually the two would be married in a grand ceremony. Now, Ikune continues working alongside her closest friends, making sure to come home safe for her beloved wife.
