Luke

Originally a rancher from Villam for many years Luke worked as a guard for merchant caravans traveling the Northern Hinterlands. During this period of time he worked as a member of the Pathfinder Guild and almost reached the level of "Explorer".

During a stop in Pontem he became acquainted with a local woman named Amanda. Believing to have found the love of his life he decided to leave the traveling life behind to marry Amanda and became a resident of the village. Luke and Amanda had a daughter named Clarissa, and he took up a trade as a carpenter. HIs following tale is a sad as it is common. Disaster struck the Village, not uncommon for a frontier town bordering the Ashen woods. A wendigo raid struck the town, when he himself was gone to get timber. Many villagers were taken by the cursed beasts, Lukes wife and daughter included. Returning and having been told the news he grabbed his old bow a backpack and went into the woods himself, despite the warning of certain death. Not fearing death but rather seeing his loved ones taken. He came back 4 days later to the surprise of everyone, but after seeing his harrowing and haunted expression nobody asked him a single thing and he did not stop himself. He left the Northern Hinterlands behind and came back to the heart of the Union where he just existed for many years. No drive whatsoever. His recovery has since progressed little but he has picked up his bow once again though there is no drive in him to hunt anything more than some local wildlife that may endanger some folk.

Luke has not lost the ability to speak, but it would not have made much of a difference. Where a nod suffices you won´t hear him speak, and if he does then will will not utter 2 words when one is enough.
