Birth Contracts

A contract with a being that can magically, or otherwise, ensure progeny. Races that struggle to expand their numbers or even keep their race from extinction use these services the most, but many other childless individuals can be desperate enough to be tempted. The most common form of Birth Contract is one where a female is blessed with 2 children, by magical means, with one of the children to be of the race of the "Helper". The Mother births both and the Contractor gets the rights to one of the children, mostly that of it´s own race, either to be taken directly after birth, but more commonly after the child has reached maturity. Often other benefits are involved, especially when it comes to male contractors as it is a more time consuming role to fill in as a mother.
The most common contacted races to establish a Birth Contract with, are the Genie of the Elemental planes followed by the Flame Dressed and the Lost Castaways, though there are others that are willing to offer terms.
