Performer

MASTERS OF THE ARTS AND SOCIAL SETTINGS, THEY BRING LIGHT, BEAUTY AND AMUSEMENT INTO THE BLEAK AND BITTER LIFE IN THE AFTERFALL.

They claim their mission is bringing hope to the hearts and souls of the people, while the cynical would say they help sugar-coat the piece of shit reality has become, and make it swallowable, at least for a while. Truth is, no one would be able to digest life in the Afterfall, without some kind of valve to relief the pressure. It's either that, or madness.

Among performers you'll find people that make a living by performing their craft in front of crowds, such as singers, musicians, actors, illusionists, comedians, sportsmen, acrobats, storytellers, poets, MCs, artistic dancers, erotic dancers, prostitutes, and even executioners, torturers, and amputationers.
Performers must select their "main act" on character creation, and the GM will tell the player which is the Skill roll relevant to that act. Charisma & Performance is good for singing, but a football player will be rolling Strength & Athletics, and a prostitute Appearance & Seduction, for example.
Be careful when you select your main act, since some of them are only suitable in certain contexts, and others require specific instruments or gear that you may lose, break, or might not be readily available.

Some crafts and arts are not considered performance, since they mostly require to work alone for long periods, being able to show to the world your finished works, that are bulky and difficult to carry around. Good examples of these cases are fine painting and sculpting. Poets and writers can recite their works. In fact, most people don't know how to read, so probably the only way to make a living out of it, is reciting. Hence, they are considered performers. People who entertain thanks to their combat skills, such as gladiators, are considered to belong to other professions.
