Terrestrism
INTRODUCTION
Terrestrism is an ancient religious practice commonly found in southern Abeon, but it eventually spread to the Vei'n nations in Eryaetos. The relgion itself is a distortion of true Loscinitie practice- worshiping the true god of light alongside the ancient one Kor'non and the earth itself. While many claim to have seen the god Kreibet manifesting among civilization, there are no confirmed historical reports. Terrestrism became mainstream following the horrors of the third period. It began to fade from popular relgions during the Great Purge in 7143 6p.
PRACTICES
Devout Terrestrians are required to make a yearly pilgrimage to the Temple of Saint in Timburst. The golden swords of Mana and Krebeit are hung in the golden hall of the temple, guarded by the fiercist and most zealous Vei'n warriors. Many perish in the journey, but all are counted as gain in the heavens. The worshippers of Mana are required to visit the Accursed Vale in southern Archia to the Shrine of Darkness, where they must sacrifice a relative of the family. Sacrifice is counted as honor, and gain in the eternal heavens. Famous worshippers of Mana include Emeric II and Sephtis.
FOUNDING
Terrestrism spawns from a myth in 3404, in the Ithrium Empire. During the beginning stages of the empire's collapse, a prophetess by the name of Ezior the Red Zealot. Ezior was the first prophetess of Krebiet, and claimed to be of one soul with the god of the air. Ezior was not an Ithrinese native, but had been born in the The Skylands of Eryaetos, born among the fabeled Bris. Ezior claimed to receive a vision from the high goddess Saint, who gave her the authority to condemn nations and turn the world from its war-filled folly. Ezior convereted thousands in Ithrium, including the royal family. When the Empire fell and peace crept back into the world, Ezior was called home and returned to be with The Saint in the eternal heavens. Historians doubt this, as many first hand accounts have her sailing southward to Eryatos. In the Dargonwing Isles, there is a grave stone among the volcanoes marked "Ezrio the Wise". Many believe she fled Abeon following the Empire's fall, fearing that Terrestrism would be doubted. Her flight made it more believable and it lasted in mainstream for more than three thousand years.
SALVATION
Terrestrians believe in 'The Book of the Future', an ancient blank manuscript given to the people by Ezrio the Prophetess. Legends say only the truly devout can read what is written- while unbelievers say that its just a book of blank pages. Salvation is given to those devout enough to read the pages, leading many to pretend they indeed can read it.

THE GODS OF MIDDLETON
The Pantheon consists of Three Gods, who each control the three realms of existence: Light, Darkness, and Air. The balance of the cosmos is in control of the goddess of Light, also known as 'The Saint'. The two lesser dieties, The Mana (Darkness) and The Krebeit (Air), follow the leadership of the Saint, but commonly the gods are at odds with each other. They have no sex or orientation, but are terestrial beings loosely based on the true gods of Loscinity. Many Loscinites believe The Mana is a demon of Kor'non, the ancient deceiver.
