INTRODUCTION

Axel Moran is the head ranger of the The Delta Rangers, killing his superiors to take control of the rag-tag group of assassins. Axel is a freedist at heart, and struggles against the wishes of his ultimate superior- the Emperor of The Archian Empire. His motives are never known, but with the help of his two greatest allies- only known as The Arbiter and The Angel of Darkness- Axel and his rangers operate with maximum effiency and stealth.

THE RANGERS

Axel is from a distant island nation far east of Abeon called Aspayae. Although he is not a native of the continent, he was brought to Abeon in 4665 as an infant and never looked back to his homeland in Eryaetos. He was taken in by an Archian family, and raised to be a soldier of the struggling Kingdom. He grew up with a hatred for The Confederation of Traelec, especially The Merciful who helped them obatain independance from the Empire. After going utterly mad during a mission as a footsoldier, killing an entire enemy guard (from Blackstone) along with every one of his commanding officers; King Sephtis assigned him the youngest member of the reformed Delta Rangers. Although he was the newest ranger, Axel set to work with his ambitions of controlling the organization and beginning his purpose for life: destroy everything he held as 'evil'. Governments, entire people groups, and even magic systems themselves. Axel wanted to end it all.

THE ARBITER, THE ANGEL, AND AXEL

Axel found two unlikely comrades in the Delta ranks who shared his values and lust for blood- two unknown men who called themselves by alternate nicknames. With the help of only these two, Axel completely dismantled and killed the leadership of the rangers, taking control of the rest and simultaneously seperating himself from the Archian Empire. These three together spent nearly the next century hunting down and exterminating an unknown 'list of belligerents' whom they deemed unworthy of continuance. The Rangers found themselves alligned with seperate sides of the same war, playing double to stealthy neutralize imporant targets. Although they still technically are under orders from Sephtis, the group is largely a rogue force of mercenaries whose actions are inexplicable and unpredictable thanks to Axel's strange freedist ideology.
