Hall of Requiem

Purpose / Function

The Hall of Requiem is a storage facility for thousands of sentient magic items. Here these ancient sentient items both lead Loxodon society and create countless poems of the highest caliber.   The original purpose of the Hall of Requiem was to allow Loxodon to add to a reliquary of knowledge which future generations could access to remember the trials and tribulations of the past. The Hall of Requiem continues to serve this function.

Architecture

The Hall is a massive citadel complex made of mithral and adamantine. The sweeping hallways adored with magical items and lavish furnishings both mundane and magical are a testament to the ancient society which created the building.

Defenses

The building is outfitted with a sweeping array of magical and mundane defenses. It is one of the most secure structures in the sphere of Potestatem.

History

In terms of Potestatem years, the building was created somewhere around the 7000s BC. Originally from a forgotten world, the building would drift through the Astral Sea for several millennium until eventually arriving on Potestatem shortly after the beginning of the 4th era.   It went to Potestatem because of the access to Zeal and ease of acquiring sentient magic items.   The building was created for a purpose, which it continues to preform to this day. The unchanging nature of sentient magic items means that the building itself is unchanging.

Tourism

The Hall of Requiem and the Loxodon society which revolves around it are highly seclusive. As such, common maps of the Snaleshi Swamps will not have it's location marked. The only thing most Snaleshi know about it's location is that the Hall is located somewhere along the border with the West Jungles of Foisham.   As such, outsiders are very rarely seen at the Hall of Requiem. The Swamps are already extremely remote, - by Potestatems standards - making the even more remote Hall of Requiem quite difficult to get to.
