Session 02: Grappling the Griffin

Callaway was not able to attend this session.The session opened with Team A formulating their plan to board The Grey Moon, disguise and/or hide themselves, draw the bandit to them, and apprehend him. The idea was briefly entertained of hiding someone in a barrel and having them be carted away, but it was decided that plan was just a hair too silly to be feasible.
The next day, the group met Captain Cassidiera and set out to ambush the bandit. Kopala's keen senses saw the rider from far off, and after a battle that saw two flying griffins get tripped onto a boat, Leaf hogtie an adult griffin and form an emotional attachment to one of the two baby griffins, and the surrender of the marauding dwarf, they set sail for shore.
Kopala took the dwarf into the cargo bay after putting his hands and feet in manacles. He learned some of the dwarf's history, being from a circus called The Festooned Balloon that specialized in air stunts where he was employed as a Dwarven Cannonball. Kopala confiscated the two magic rings on the dwarf, who identified them as a Ring of Feather Fall and a Ring of Monstrous Kinship that he had stolen from the circus along with the griffins after becoming addicted to Kren-sap.
Kopala also noticed some sort of ambulatory mushroom creature that burst into a cloud of fuzzy grey spores when he got close. He dodged out of the way and didn't get dusted with the falling spores.
