1.23: Revelations
General Summary
The party took a short rest in the chambers they found, taking the time to cast some spells and talk to some (demi)gods.
Creedence:
discovered that there were 2 (presumably) elves within 300ft of the room
discovered the location of the Squeeze
discovered that the area is a thin spot where travel between planes is easier than usual
"discovered" the teleportation circle etched into the floor
Coris:
cast Comprehend Languages (40 minutes remaining at the end of the session)
Tristian:
attuned to Luja Saed
spoke to Kraa'thom and recieved his consent to wield the weapon
saw the energy flowing through Lient'roc, particularly noting a point where the energy was pooling and a dark spot that seemed to be the origin
can now consider himself a Kraa'thomite
Cheni:
brought Loren-ka into a Shai'tan vision, allowing her to soothe Chelor from his wild, heated state
learned that an istilah has been lit, but Nai'ral was not the one who lit it
learned that Nai'ral is not the Avatar of Chelor
continued to wonder about her own role in potentially faciliating a peaceful reawakening of Chelor
realized that the forge must be shut down, either by stopping the process or completing it
Cheni, Tristian, and Sultana shared a bonding moment over their divine weapons.
The party got through The Squeeze with varying degrees of success -- Sultana asked Cheni to tell him about Chelor and how to get through the tough second half of the passage. The Silence cast on the area made things more difficult.
Once through, Cheni scouted ahead and found two Chelu-kaan Chelorans guarding a fork in the passage. She and Tristian approached, and despite his imperfect Chelu-kaan accent, Tristian was able to convince the pair that they had been decieved. The pair allowed them to pass, and told the party:
the fastest route to Nehrlok's Cave
Nai'ral didn't deny being the Avatar of Chelor, but her main role was supposedly as an emissary of Corellon who wanted to awaken Chelor so he and Kraa'thom could ascend to true godhood
"Khalog" lit the istilah with the assistance of an apprentice swordsmith, Terin
(implied) the forge ritual uses blood as a material component
mulitple Hallow spells were cast on the area, which may cause problems with movement through the area
The group decided to confront Nai'ral and ideally stop the ritual. Failing that, Cheni hopes to change the purpose of the forged blade to something more positive than what she fears it is made for.
