Hoenn
A semi-tropical island nation sitting near Johto, Hoenn is considered to be a bit unique (at least until everyone heard about Alola).
While not the largest, Hoenn is the pioneer region of scientific advancement and is a bit of a buddy-buddy region with everyone else.
Assets
Hoenn's primary assets and mostly technological, as well as geological. Hoenn is the home of the Devon Corporation, a massive tech company, if not the current largest in the world, which primary manufactures electronics and computing equipment. Additionally, the very... strange geological history of Hoenn has lead to an abundance of rocks and stones, including sought after evolutionary stones, which are also common exports.
The largest port in Hoenn, located in Slateport city, is the second largest and most active port in the world, only beat recently by the port at Driftviel city in Unova.
History
Hoenn was originally founded as a combination of efforts around 3000 years ago by merchants, Draconids, and Sootopolians.
Demography and Population
The population of Hoenn is generally one of the most varied and diverse, only rivaled in this factor by Unova. The population is generally more densely concentrated in the larger cities, with the smaller towns slowly falling behind while populations age.
Military
Though all militaries have disbanded in the modern age, Hoenn was noted for having a rather disjointed military during the Great Pokemon War - as in, people just made their own military squadrons to fight, because when having a giant murder lizard is a relatively easy task, anyone can make their own mini platoon.
Technological Level
A good deal of advanced technology originated from Hoenn, as the region was the first to use infinity energy for like... not blowing everyone up. Though the use of infinity energy is not controversial, Hoenn still retains a very modern level of technology, and is the only region with a dedicated space program (with the help of Sinnoh).
Religion
With the modern age, religion isn't that common in Hoenn anymore. The majority of the religious population consists of immigrants and the few remaining ethnic Draconids and Sootopolians.
Foreign Relations
Hoenn is generally on good terms with the other regions, and has historically always been there to help out after disaster or when any of the other regions need help.
Agriculture & Industry
Mining and refinement of important rocks, metals, and stones is one of Hoenn's primary powers - because Groudon liked to throw fits back in ancient times, there's a bunch of valuable geological stuff everywhere. Hoenn is also rather well known for fishing, and tech production.
Trade & Transport
Exports are most often transported through air and sea, though road transport is common for delivery between cities. Because Hoenn is an island, most goods are exported through sea.
Education
As with other regions, schooling is only required up until 10 years of age, although in Hoenn it's recommended one stays in school until at least 16. Hoenn has one of the largest percentages of those who choose to fully complete school, though one of the lowest for those who pursue college or other higher education.
Infrastructure
Hoenn has the usual current day infrastructure. Most, if not all building are aptly built to withstand tropical storms and hurricanes.
