Rustboro city

With it's brown brick paved walkways, Rustboro is known as the heart of Hoenn's workforce. Locating both the league capital and the largest tech company in the world, as well as the first place where Sootopolians made landfall, it's no wonder this city is the center of Hoenn's business world.

Demographics

Since Rustboro is the capital of Hoenn, it's one of the most varied cities in the region. Both humans and urban pokemon live in relative harmony here, and so do those of all professions, classes, and ethnicities. Though for age, Rustboro is generally a younger city. The average age is around 20-40 years old.

Defences

As Rustboro is in a vulnerable position from typhoons and hurricanes, most, if not all buildings have reinforced foundations, walls, and pull-down window covers. There's also an emergency wave break and flood drainage.

Industry & Trade

With Devon having an iron grip on the tech industry, many residents work for the company (which actually provides housing for workers). It's for this sole purpose that Rustboro is so important - because Devon is important. Outside of Devon, small businesses and start-ups are plenty in Rustboro, adding to it's iron grip on industry.

Infrastructure

Rustboro has some of the most solid infrastructure in the entire region, with many buildings being upgraded consistently. Public buildings are usually of high quality, and public spaces are kept clean. Much of the infrastructure is funded by Devon.

Assets

Rustboro is home to not only the capital, but to the largest tech organization in the world, Devon Corporation. It's also home to a fair amount of start-ups created by ex-Devon employees.

History

Rustboro was first founded as a tent city when Sootopolians journeyed from their crater city to the 'mainland' of Hoenn, and has remained a primary location for innovation since. The city has seen it's fair share of conflict, including getting totally scorched like 5 times. Though, in current history, not much has happened, aside from the technological boom allowing Rustboro to overtake Slateport as Hoenn's capital.

Architecture

Most building are made out of red or brown bricks, creating a very 'rusty' aesthetic. Buildings outside of the city center resemble simple current-time buildings and suburbs.
