The Infection
AKA Fungal Control
A disease with unknown source appearing in Meerwacht and the surrounding settlements.
The disease progression in people is presumed as follows:
contact with the source
day later: laboured breathing, fever, palor
???: cloudy eyes, extreme palor, slow movements, milky white and flaky rash on some part of the body
as times passes the patient becomes more unresponsive
the patient stops any movement
After week the behavior changed of all patients regarding how far int the progresssion they were and start behaving like zombies. Their eyes go full white, they are slow moving and act in a swarm.
The disease is potentially transferable between humans and animals as infected animals have been spotted.
Infected animals are identifiable by:
altered behavior: more aggresive, do not fear humans
oddities on the skin: a goopy excrement like milkcap from a mushroom but more sticky
no signs in mouth nor anything found during autopsy (organs were not checked)
There is one odd case: Magnus Stonehammer
His symptoms include clouded or vacant eyes, spotty memory, incoherent mumbling, The sypmtoms appear periodically and usually a good whack gets his focus back.
We don't know how far he is in the disease nor why he differs from the others. Maybe because his infection is more recent?
