Maiden of the Falls
A large casino riverboat that travels from Haafnar to Dungol City and back.
As you step onto the Maiden of the Falls, the grandeur of its past is evident, but a sense of faded glory hangs in the air. The once-polished wooden floor is scuffed and worn, and the plush velvet curtains are now faded and slightly frayed. The air is still thick with the aroma of exotic spices and tobacco, but there's an undercurrent of stale beer and something vaguely unpleasant, like unwashed bodies. The main deck is still a vast, open space, but the once-gleaming gas lamps now flicker dimly, casting long, dancing shadows across the room. The grand staircase, while still impressive, shows signs of wear and tear, with some of the steps slightly uneven. The patrons gathered around the gambling tables are a motley crew. There are a few well-dressed elves, but most of the gamblers are rough-looking individuals, with weathered faces and worn clothing. Some are loud and boisterous, while others are quiet and brooding. The bar is still well-stocked, but the bartenders seem weary and overworked. They move with less energy than their counterparts in more reputable establishments, and their uniforms are not quite as crisp. The overall impression is one of faded grandeur and a hint of seediness. The Maiden of the Falls is a place where fortunes can still be made or lost, but it's clear that this is not the most refined establishment on the river.
