Half Moon Wednesday

On the 16th day of The Seventh Month, the True Half Moon day is observed. It is a day of festivities, people gather in the townsquares and feast. The Leadchurch Preachers play an important role in the cities it is celebrated, functioning as a large place to gather and and honour the God Plobyus.

History

Long before the foundation of the leadchurch preachers, the inhabitants of the Cheeseplane have celebrated the middle of the year, when the moon is half full. Gathering together in their dwellings, the people would gather and would share in their belongings to help eachother.   When the church of the leadpreachers was founded, they became gathering places, because of the shelter their, already white, churches would offer.

Execution

At night, large displays of fireworks are used. With mostly pale-white colours, representing the other half of the moon.

Components and tools

Fireworks, white coloured clothes, white food. Citizens honouring this day like to decorate their houses in banners with a half-moon. The colour of the background of the banner doesn't really matter. Although a dark blue / black bacground is generally accepted as the original version. The colour of the nightsky differs from location to location, and as to incorporate these different skies, the colour of the background can be almost any colour.

Participants

The Leadchurch Preachers hold an offical feast, in offer of their god, Plobyus. The High Priest holds a special annoucement and service.

Observance

On the 16th day of The Seventh Month, the True Half Moon day is observed. This date is pinpointed as the "a half year has passed". There are festivals throughout the day, where people gather to eat and wish eachother a good half year. And in the evenings people dance and do an "elegant moondance". At 23.00 hours, special commemorative fireforks are lit.
