Tymora of Luck

Our Smiling Lady

The Lady of Luck, also called Tymora, is the human goddess of luck and fortune, and is closely tied to Waukeen. Many Melorians prefer not to say her name, in case she hears them while in a bad mood, and instead call her Lady Luck, or the Smiling Lady. Her symbol is a gold coin with a impressed design, which varies but is usually a symbol of luck for the region (in Meloria, a horseshoe is depicted). In halfling lore, Tymora as she appears to humans is nothing but a trick pulled by a truly halfling goddess, and she is worshipped by the halflings as a goddess of fate and mischief.     She has no official temple in Meloria, so as to not draw her attention too much, but she is often honored at the Temple of the Plethora or in taverns and gambling halls with small offering alcoves. Some traders who are down on their luck appeal to her to save their businesses through luck, although this is seen as risky.
