Kelemvor Bane
Judge of the Damned
Kelemvor is the god of death and the dead, also named the Judge of the Damned and the Great Guide. One of the older gods, Kelemvor is said to have originally been a human, who took on the mantle of the Judge after slaying the previous god of death. He is believed to be a fair judge, although a cold one. His priests and acolytes are expected to provide service to the dying and the dead, usually by sitting with the dying to act as ambassador for the dead to Kelemvor's realm, the City of Judgement. They also provide burial services for those without family to bury them.
His symbol is a skeletal arm holding a pair of golden scales. His Melorian temple, which is nicknamed The Gloom, is located at the very outskirts of the temple district, where it can be easily accessed by clerics or the dying coming in from the outside and where it is sufficiently out of the way enough that it does not disturb the general populace. The ninth month of the Pinarian year, Vor, is named after him.
