The signing of the The Farland Treaty, meant the end of The Dust War.
Although the signing of the treaty meant that the war ended, the oppression of the Feromone Fairies didn't stop. The Farland Treaty was greatly in the favor of the Farlanders, but the fairies had to sign it, to avoid extinction.
