The Golgarian Hegemony

From the Blasted Realm of Golgary Prime, the Hegemony is a consortium of Rifter warlords who seek power by planar overlay vulnerable realms.
Their current target has been the mundane parallel realm of Calgary. In mundane human terms, their efforts have taken decades, but the flow of time is different in blasted realms, from the perspective of the hegemons—are each styled as "(the) Archon of ________" or "(the) ______ archon"—this is a relatively young project, especially considering the longevity of the beings who run the various organizations that constitute the consortium.

Structure

A bloody battle precedes the ascension of any to the status of Archon among the various factions within the Golgarian Hegemony.
Once established, each archon actually acts as an equal at council directing the consortium to its current Glorious Purpose—invariably a planar overlay, occupation, invasion, looting, pillage and conquest—always to provide the archons great wealth, power, and privilege.
In the event of the failure of a specific Glorious Purpose, one of the archons is selected by the others and brutally executed. A new archon then fights to assume the vacant position of their faction and the cycle of violence continues.

Most of the Blasted Realm of Golgary is ruled directly by the Hegemony.

Agriculture & Industry

There are no industries or agriculture governed by the Hegemony, however, each of its constituate factions may themselves control industry and/or agriculture in other realms. Most of the resources upon which the Hegemony relies, is collected by tributes of realms under their explotation, conquest, and looting.
