Ramsay Reed is at the top, as he is the leader, head coordinator and night man. The top 3 vampires then make up the Dark Lords (also known as the great vampires). They serve directly below Ramsay himself
The next 6 top vampires then make up the Shadow Generals (also known as the vampire generals). They tend to be the vampires that will lead the top operations actually on the field. A notable shadow general is Shadow General Askel the Forgotten who is personally tasked with hunting down Eddard Mormont and his friends.
Next is the last 24 vampires, who make up the vampire captains. They are the lowest ranked vampires. they commonly serve a shadow general on the battle field, or will be assigned to important guard duty. They are still higher ranked than The Eves or any ghoul. They are formidable fighters, but perhaps not as good as some of the shadow generals.
