The Island of Aglonby
Purpose / Function
The island is home to the once prosperous The Mages of Aglonby. It hosted them for over 1772 years. It was slowly built upon, year after year, to build The mages citadel. It was the home of the mages, and the Grand Mage, until the year 1471, where in Ramsay and Co. destoyed the The mages citadel, killing many mages, and fleeing the island.
Architecture
On the island there is a very large castle/citadel, this is known as The mages citadel. There are 3 ports on the island, one of which leads directly into The mages citadel. The different ports where made historically to be used by different nations, whilst they where at war, so they did not clash near the island, potentially harming the ancient building and all its knowledge. The actual towers on the island vary greatly on their style and age, the smallest and oldest built in the year 300 BCE, the newest built up until its destruction in 1471.
Now all that remains are the half destroyed towers and a few mages who are trying to rebuild.

There is little to no tourism, as it is imply a school and a place of learning. Some richer people do travel though too see the orb, before The mages citadel was destroyed.
