Vestus (vess-tuhs)
The Blood Lathe
MYTHOLOGY
Born from Tares and a power long faded, Vestus was a creator and for that he was unique, and eventually felt the outsider. Alone in his workshop within the earth, he created the far more sociable Swivets to assist and keep her company. The one and only god to do so, for he alone holds the domain of craft and even then he could not fully break the mold.
PAST WORSHIP
Understandably, Vestus remains the high patron of Swivets. But even alone among the gods, he was greatly loved by people across the lands. Craft is to express, to get a part of one's self to live outside of you, to love the world around you. Even in times of war and sorrow, he was always seen as a gift and a guide.
PRESENT WORSHIP
Not much has changed in how he is worshiped, to use one's mind and hands to make something of oneself is all that is needed. At most he has gained popularity as the world has seemed to settle once more, as development has given the average person more time to make for themselves, he couldn't be happier.
