Tares (tear-ehs)
The Sword and Shield
MYTHOLOGY
Tares was formed in the first war, The Ae's War, battle sparked over ugly jealousy but on the other hand it was due to favouritism. That is his duality, there is always more than one side to every war, and each fights for it's own good and to it's enemy's evil. He was married to an old being and they birthed Vestus of craft and Telm of sacrifice before his partner was... gone.
PAST WORSHIP
Tares has always received much worship, as a symbol of strength during peaceful times and a figure of leadership in warring times. To not respect him in war, (unless looking to another deity), is to beg for disaster.
PRESENT WORSHIP
In current day, out of fear and respect, Tares is worshiped to ward off warring minds or to fuel those in the fire. For the day to day person, those that seek the warrior path for justice, for those they care about, for 'good' purpose in their point of view, they are all welcomed in his temples. Those that war for ill, to cause damage and pain seemingly without reason, will usually seek a patron elsewhere.
