Metronome Counting

Purpose

It is not known as to the original intent of this reoccurring broadcast; nor can its source be triangulated. It is assumed to be a harmonic system of counting numbers from an unknown language being sent into the ether for an unverifiable reason.

Document Structure

Clauses

The station plays a synthesized 'tone' that is often distorted under a mild static. The discoverers initially registered the sounds as ten second musical notes, before noticing a common rhythm within each segment. Audible clicks and other sounds that vary in tones and pitch are interspersed at irregular patterns throughout unique broadcasts.
These reoccurring audio patterns, though uneven at times, are frequent enough to imply it is following consistent rules. Hence, the suspicion that the radio transmission is counting up or down.

Publication Status

Anyone, anywhere, in the in-between can listen in simply by tuning a radio to the 3034 kHz frequency. Its transmission is most commonly found throughout portal alley and through peripheries that reach deep into the Perron Barren and Nostrum.

Historical Details

Public Reaction

The discovery of the frequency gave the first indication to those, who found their way into Manidweepa, that they were not the only intelligent thing there.
As time went on, the mystery of that radio channel became somewhat benign. Listeners program their computers to cycle through the counting every 12 hours for 8 hours as white noise to train the crew's brains on when to periodically sleep.
