Though she doesn't know it, Jennifer was adopted by her parents who believed at the time they were infertile. As a result, she was their pride and joy, a treasure, and a wonder. When she turned six, however, her little sister was born, and her parents began to neglect her. She was their non-biological offspring, and did not take precedence over their actual biological daughter.
After her brother was born five years later, the neglect became worse, and she essentially had to learn to help care for her two siblings. She moved out and enrolled in university around the time she turned seventeen, and has been in the activist scene ever since. She began hanging out in Thackery's about a year ago because the owner was okay with her anti-war and pro-feminist rhetoric. She's known for picking up girls in the bar every now and then, and has broken a heart or two.
Most recently, she and Clara Kent broke up, but no one who frequents Thackery's can figure out why they broke up. The leading theory is that Jennifer cheated on Clara. However, the astute (and correct) may note that Jennifer's nails are cut quite short these days.
