Personal history

Born in Kentucky, back in the days of slavery, Cooper knew the meaning of the word "work" since the day he could walk. During his time in bondage, a boggan and pooka (also enslaved black men) taught him of his nature and of Dreams. Dreams of freedom abounded until the war ended - what they call the Civil War now. The three of them hid for a while underground before finding themselves in the midst of the Industrial Revolution.   Cooper thrived in this new reality, until the Great War kicked off. When it did, Cooper enlisted as a combat mechanic and got thrown in with the tank brigade. Cooper truly thought it would be the last war he ever saw, but just a few years later, when the Korean War commenced, Cooper rolled up his sleeves and got to work.   He made more shit than he cared to remember, until he was riddled with bullet holes and got sent home.   He worked in Kentucky, tinkering in his home freehold in his old age, until the Resurgence brought with it the sidhe, and Capt. Adelaide ("Miss Adelaide" he calls her). She reminded him of the ladies that took care of his first motley when he was first freed, and so he agreed to sign up with her crew.   The Accordance War hasn't been pleasant, but unfortunately Cooper is well aware of what war is at this point, and knows what needs to be done.

Mythmaker (Tool •••••)

Eitri was the master craftsmen of Níðavellir, and created the treasures of the gods. But he was not without help - a tradesman is only as good as his tools, after all. ᛗᚤᛏᚺᛗᚨᚴᛖᚱ - or Mythmaker - is the tool by which he forged Gullin-börsti, the boar; Draupnir, the arm ring; and Mjöllnir, the hammer.

It is a silver handle, carved with runes along it. A leather strap is attached to the end, so it may be tied to the belt. It can take the shape of whatever tool the crafter needs, and it enables the crafter to make works so beautiful as to be worth their weight in gold - tenfold. This is not to mention, of course, the miracles these works enable of their wielders.

Mechanics: Mythmaker once made great treasures, and it longs to do so again. You cannot botch a Crafts roll while using it, and you gain +2 dice to all Crafts checks utilizing Mythmaker.

With a twirl of Mythmaker itself, the head of the handle will morph to fit whatever tool the wielder needs. It is better suited to tools that would have been available when it was first held by Eitri (such as hammers, tongs, and bellows), but it can take on the appearance and functionality of newer tools (like blowtorches and sandblasters) without the need for a power source or additional materials that would usually be necessary for the tool to function. Using Mythmaker in the appearance of a newer tool gives a project +1 difficulty.

Finally, Mythmaker's creations are known for their beauty, and strike those who view them in the heart. As appropriate, items crafted with Mythmaker sell for 1.3x their normal value, and gifting one to a hostile or ambivalent creature can cause them to be softened to you (granting a -1 difficulty to Social rolls for that scene).
