Twenty-Two Character in Pathfinder Pirates | World Anvil

Twenty-Two

Admiral (a.k.a. Twenty-Two)

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Her hands are branded in elven runes declaring her position as a slave, and fugitive.

Special abilities

TT is able to control and weave shadows, allowing her to craft rudimentary objects or even a separate copy of herself. As an extension of this, she can travel through shadow.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born of a free family of nobles, the woman now known as Twenty-Two was sold into slavery in the elven nation of Liosduin Bhearna for her lack of sorcer potential. Enslaved to an aristocratic Admiral, her household was technically well off and filled with constant business- whether it was slaves, nobility, or soldiers moving through the estate. The large island, however, left her feeling called to the sea around it. TT often attempted escapes and caused trouble, earning an infamous reputation (especially as slaves were kept primarily unidentified if possible).
Eventually, TT made her final escape, murdering the admiral's daughter along the way. A young, unskilled, woman- not to mention a branded slave, TT was denied nearly any position on a ship. For a few years she survived as either a deckhand or stow-a-way on various sea craft, which gave her the opportunity to visit port cities across the world. Once however, she was given a position on the The Wicked Reckoning , she became fiercely loyal to its captain, and its crew, until it was time to move on to the next big adventure and start a crew of her own.

Sexuality

Lesbian

Education

Twenty-Two, raised a slave, was educated primarily in cooking, housekeeping, tailory, and a variety of simple skills. It was after her escape she learned much of piracy she has on the job. TT is self taught in shadow manipulation and gunnery.

Mental Trauma

TT lives with resentment and anger over her former subjugation every day. She carries a fierce hatred of elves- certain they're scheming behind the scenes of most the world's problems; she could blame a drought on elves' manipulating the market in order to make more money, for example. In a lot of ways, she's still mentally captive to her old master, who has forced her to be on the run in any legalized territory that supports the regime.

Morality & Philosophy

To TT, you should only work with people you trust- and through this she trusts her crew. She lives, and dies, by the people of her ship- from captain to crew. But outside that, only cheaters win. And TT would rather be a cheater than dead.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

TT lives for freedom, typically at the sea- though she has a fierce loyalty to her crew mates and friends- if when she has any.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

A tinkerer, she has an innate understanding of most mechanical devices including firearms. Shes a skilled acrobat, and adept sailor and navigator.

Virtues & Personality perks

Loyal to a fault, TT wouldn't leave a member of her crew to die if she could help it.

Vices & Personality flaws

TT despises elves, often assuming they're plotting against her or others. Anything they do, she believes, is because they see the benefit for themselves.
TT is bad at math, often just finding herself unable to work with certain numbers, but she doesn't acknowledge it.

Social

Religious Views

TT believes in the spirit of the sea, with no faith in any deity. All she asks is to sail the great blue forever with Davy Jones.

Social Aptitude

She lacks real charisma and is as delicate in social situations as a hammer is for lock picking- but she knows it. She's confident, and open with her thoughts.
