Session 52: Oh Deer Report in Pathfinder Pirates | World Anvil

Session 52: Oh Deer

General Summary

My new eyes are immediately put to the test as TT asks me how many fingers she's holding up...only for Amelia to set off glitterdust in my face. Before we can all have a good laugh, a hulking beast of a man bursts into the room. He's got a belt in one hand, ready to crack everyone's asses for touching his stuff. What stuff? The magic handsaw, which has now grown a mouth full of sharp teeth to attack us! Dad gives us kids a good whipping and while we could run, our pride is hurt, and so is our self-control. After a brutal beat down, we manage to put Dad in the senior home in the sky and Cayde gets his arm as a new chew toy.   We have to make our way back to the study and on the way, I find a marble gargoyle statue that no one else sees. The damn thing can talk, but as soon as I drop it, it decides I'm not worth its time. Even as I hold it, Amelia and TT don't see it and are convinced I'm having a mental breakdown. TT, being the supportive friend that she is, pretends that she sees my new friend and tries to reassure me that I'm not insane. Reaching the study rewards me with another hidden gargoyle, but unfortunately for me, they go to war with one another. While the gals interact with a living book aptly named "I'm Alive", I watch in horror as my gargoyles turn each other into dust.   Inside of a hidden compartment in the room, we find a book titled "Emma Mayfair". It's a book on TT's life that's written from the point of view of someone who despises her. Amelia gets a glimpse of its contents, but upon realizing that the book is about her, TT quickly puts it away. In the next room, we're berated by a mounted deer head, with severed heads writing around within a cage of its antlers. As it screams about the selfish, cruel nature of humanity, the door bursts open and a familiar figure storms in! Dad 2: Dad Harder is without his belt as it's the only thing holding his brain in his skull after we performed an impromptu autopsy on him. We announce our departure and slip into the next room, which happens to be a funeral parlor.   A closed casket sits in the middle of the room and while I'm distracted by a small door on the wall, Amelia and TT crack open the coffin. My rotted corpse is inside, so Amelia reanimates it. While it was for a joke, he's immediately ready to ruin my life. I turn around in time to see TT draw her gun on me because my corpse convinces everyone that I died and my body was now being piloted by the curator. The audacity of it all has me arguing with him back and forth until TT tells us to whisper the truth of Amelia's nature in her ear in order to determine which of us is the real Huey. The imposter fucks up by asking her if he's allowed to whisper it to her sensually and she guns him down. I'm pleased with the results, but there's no time for celebrations as Amelia decides that this is the perfect room to ambush Dad the Sequel.   She doesn't give us any time to prepare, proceeding to destroy several things in the room while calling out to him with as much as attitude as she can muster. Dad: Remastered responds in kind with an attitude of his own and when we hear him storm his way over, the rest of us flee, dragging Amelia with us. We're in a throne room next, one that's very familiar to Amelia. Paintings of her parents are hung on the walls, everything seeming like an exact copy of her family's throne room, aside from the escape route leading nowhere. We barricade all of the exits and settle in to rest. Cayde's left to patrol, but once TT starts to read through the book of her life so far, he curls up beside her to keep her company. Our rest passes without any issues and now we have to decide whether to take the path to the right or left.
