Inoth, the Voiceless One Character in Pathfinder Pirates | World Anvil

Inoth, the Voiceless One

The peaks of the Lulencia Mountains are an arctic wasteland and have been for many centuries. Not many beings call the mountaintops home aside from wild cattle, rabbits, and many tribes of yeti. Ice giants once wandered this wasteland, but all that remains of them now are scattered bones and old camps. Blizzards seemingly rage endlessly, battering anyone foolish enough to travel through the peaks. The constant snowstorms reduce visibility substantially, adding to the danger. The flurry of snowflakes shroud the fearsome, yet elegant form of Inoth, the Voiceless One.   Strategic planning isn't in Inoth's repertoire. Cunning and trickery are boring to her and as such, are skills she seldom utilizes. Instead, she favors brute force and displays of physical aggression in order to get her way. Like most white dragons, she's treated as a feral animal rather than an intelligent being. The comparison doesn't cause any offense to Inoth, especially when her strength has gone unrivaled for so long. The Voiceless One doesn't enjoy the company of other dragons, even that of other white dragons. The tribes of yeti that have made their homes on the mountaintops are the only company she needs, though the dynamic between them is far from friendly.   Inoth is aggressive and downright hostile at times. Even trivial nuisances are enough to incur her wrath. Living beside a great wyrm has proven to be difficult and dangerous for the tribes of yeti, who have made many efforts to please her through offerings of food. In times of food scarcity, it isn't uncommon for the people of Romaya to have a close encounter with a yeti who's in search of items to bring back to the Voiceless One. Inoth has refused to acknowledge these offers as anything other than small gifts, leaving the tribes to be victims of her violence to this day.   Long ago, but still relatively recent history, Inoth became known as the "Bloody Bride". She wasn't always a creature of violence, once being mentored by a green dragon named Emiad. Emiad intended to give Inoth a chance to live a more refined lifestyle, though Inoth proved to be a difficult being to work with. After decades of working together, the pair had fallen in love, though it wouldn't last. Emiad was slain by a group of monster hunters of which Iosefka Romero was a part of.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Compared to other types of chromatic dragons, Inoth is quite slender. White dragons are naturally smaller than other dragons and tend to remain at those sizes due to the harsh environments they live in. Inoth's body is devoid of hard scales and instead is covered in what feels like a snake's skin. Her soft scales are white and pearlescent. To have some semblance of warmth, long, white fur covers her head, upper back, and tail. Inoth's wings are large and thickened due to the cold air that surrounds her. Her tail is shorter than her body, but still dangerously long and able to be utilized as a weapon.

Special abilities

Inoth is capable of climbing and traveling across icy surfaces as if it wasn't a hazardous terrain. She can see perfectly through the snow, even during a snowstorm. Any snow and ice surrounding her can be transformed by her will, which also allows her to imprison beings by encasing them in ice.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Inoth, the Voiceless One is motivated by a primal need for violence. While she collects treasures as well, she finds them significantly less exciting than the blood of her prey. She's not a diplomatic individual by any means and attempts to strike a deal with her are bound to fail. Particularly violent or destructive travelers can garner her attention, though not for good reasons. People of that caliber offer a challenge she doesn't experience often, and she's eager to hunt them down.
