505F-Parime NAF Mechanised Strike-Units

"The unusual pride and primary export of the Parime Naval Auxiliary-Forces were the Mechanised strike-units: Far from the usual mighty numbers that local and Union mechanised chassis were deployed in, these groups were small units (single digits at most) of mechs optimised for independant maneuver-warfare over conventional attritional warfare. The pilots of these groups were Lancers, or Lancer-equivalents, who were picked not only for their competance as pilots but for their abilities in waging asymmetrical, unorthodox hostilities independant of command-structures and logistical lines. By far one of the most controversial of Merican's ideas, but their effectiveness speaks for itself."
— Rosalina Toro - Reflections of Parime, Revised Edition.

"Admist countless gigapulses of news and combat footage of highly-trained, highly regimenteed professionals fighting the good fight in Parime and out, these misbegotten pilots drop into town like a pack of feral animals with a grudge against civilized space itself and flip the local paradigm over. Sure as sugar stirred up the admiralty when they heard what Merican was trying, but unfortunately for them the auxillaries are a professional force that get the job done, despite evidence to the contrary. Novikov and anyone he leases these groups off to have the good sense to throw these motley crews at problems where disciplined, by-the-book tactics aren't going to cut it, and where a complete disregard for anything resembling orthodox or fairness thrives... or at least can't make things worse."
— Vice-Admiral Mbabazi, circa 5014u

Composition

Manpower

Each strke-unit consists of three to six pilots, depending on unit consistency and intended tactics. Auxillary/support staff are not usually attached to strike-units aside from ad-hoc requisitions from adjacent units.

Equipment

By default, all strike-force operators are granted full privileges with printing and assembly equipment, and provided with full licensing-access to GMC standardised equipment, with additional licensing possible pending succesful completion of mission parameters. The range and nature of such equipment is held only to basic standards of functionality, and strongly varies from pilot to pilot.

Weaponry

Weapon procurement is as eclectic and lacking in standardisation as the rest of a strike-unit's equipment, with a focus on mech-portable weapons that require little to no field-assembly/mounting before firing to ensure maximum mobility.

Vehicles

A commonly held maxim within Naval Auxillary forces is that no two mechs are going to be the same, even if they were assembled in the same factory to identical specifications, and that maxim is no less truthful in Auxillary strike-units: Each mechanised chassis is a highly customised vehicle, optimised both for the mission at hand and for the pilot's exact specifications and needs with few considerations given for time and resource costs.

Structure

Current task-force codes and regulations require at least one qualified Union military-personell to be present in every Auxillary squad whenever possible, to ensure compliance and ease of communication/organisation with overseeing Union forces . Any actual command structure within the squad however, are on an entirely ad-hoc basis, varying between individual squads based on their compositions, purposes and needs.

Training

Strike-force units are expected to meet minimum standards of training and experience before strike-unit recruitment, though pilots that meet a majority of such standards can petition for supplementary training during their admittance, devised and overseen by Gunnery Sergeant Tahaani al-Elbaz herself.
