Democratic Commonwealth of Falias and Parime

"If there's one thing the FUC and Vaduz both agree on, it's that they don't hate eachother nearly as much as the DCFP. Billed as a 'people's paradide' when it came into being in the aftermath of the older government's creeping corruption, it ended up being what the FUC described as a grotesque parody of the Second Committee's values, treating the people as disposable tools for its rapid expansion out of New Kemys and violently suppressing any objection to its increasingly heavy-handed "peacekeeping" measures."
— Rosalina Toro - Reflections of Parime, Revised Edition.

History

The DCFP was founded in 4751u, following the liquidation of the Parime Founding Colonies, by civil-legislator Maxwell Adamza. Though initially intended as a provisional government, a lack of alternative qualifying groups led to the DCFP jurisdiction being elected into presiding over Falias' colonies for the forseeable future, following rigorous restructuring of its legislative systems from the top down to meet the needs for long-term jurisdiction.   In actuality and unbeknownst to the public at the time, Adamza and his subordinates used the opportunity to clandestinely sabotage and manipulate elements of the new governing system to ensure a near total monopoly on political power and electoral-decisions. The consequences of these manipulations wouldn't become apparent until several terms into their administration of the colonies, when the DCFP began implementing policies of strong expansionism, militarisation of law-enforcement and decentralising infrastructural systems towards the growing private sectors (owned by associates of the DCFP government staff).   As the rate of expansion began to outpace available resources, the DCFP took to drastic measures to ensure outward growth on Falias: Prison-populations (expanded under new laws) were put to work in mining operations, and deniable-asset groups were hired to intimidate Co-Operative administrators into signing deals that favored the DCFP by any means necesarry. These changes enabled the DCFP to maintain a stable quality-of-life for themselves and a sizeable portion of its populations, but were ultimately unsustainable in the long-term, necessitating harsher policies to be legislated to stave off the inevitable.   Despite all of this, the government's hold on citizenry remained stable for decades through intensive layers of propaganda and 'bread & circuses' styled superficial appeasement of voting bodies. It was only when law-enforcement powers were stretched too thin (and overfocussed on upper-class areas) and organised crime syndicates took substantial root in the colonies that the public became less and less able to ignore the systemetic issues with the DCFP.

Disbandment

The inequity and totalitarianism of the DCFP continued to grow and fester, until it reached a head in 4949u, when mismanagement of infrastructure led to the breakdown of atmospheric-systems within Falias' largest agricultural-facilities, rendering entire arrays of staple-crops inedible and sparking colony-wide food shortages. Protests against the governing bodies were harshly suppressed by heavily-armed police forces, leading to outright riots and looting of government stockpiles of food intended for the higher echelons of the DCFP's government and nobody else.   Eventually, the DCFP's government was toppled for good by a paramilitary force led by Lieutenant General Elfriede Henson, who led a direct coup on the seat of government in New Kemys. In its place, General Henson drafted the founding constitution of a new military government, the Falias United Colonies.
