Human-Goblin skirmishes

Military action

118 to 108 btT

Small skirmishes burst between the human tribes marching through the mountains, and establishing temporary camps on the southern side of the Northern Crest, and the goblins of the Green Gorge.

These small battles and skirmishes, while not frequent enough to be referred to as wars, are the foundation on which the dwarven-human relations started building. With every passing years of fighting between goblins and the human tribes, dwarves from Whitefist interacted more and more with the newly arrived race. From these contacts humans learnt the art of masonry, smithy and rudiments of arcane abilities, as well as basics of military tactics and army movement. The dwarves were hoping that, by teaching these concepts to this new race, they would have obtained help against the goblin tribes.
However, the lifestyle of the human tribes was not compatible with a life under the mountains or confined within their valleys, and roughly ten years after their arrival they started migrating south.
