Emergence of Kalashtar communities

Cultural event

970 AK

Like it happened with the changelings, a new race was recorded for the first time in the colder regions of the Eastern Continent, again in one of the lands above the Anklife channel.

Trying to learn from the challenges encountered by their missed and now exiled neighbours, they quickly rose from a collection of small towns and villages to an actual small political entity, with a militia and divination-heavy arcane mages. Naturally apt for divination, their divination mages became quickly known all over the known world, and in the brief time after the formation of their community many members of their order of mages emigrated to the western continent, where they found employment as teachers and masters of divination. While the Changeling race had initially been received with doubt and hostility from the Khalimedi Empire but the open purge had striken most as unexpected, few doubted that the same fate would have followed this new race, as from the very moment of their discovery they were met with extreme hostility. Plethora priests soon started preaching how the Kalashtar divination powers, not linked to the divine element, was a literal insult to the gods, and how their duty as believers was to eradicate this monstrosity from the face of the earth (see the Plethora dogma for more info).
