Khoz Omkuth

This legendary ancient city is spoken of as myth. Even among the denizens of the deep lands it is considered little more than rumor.
Believed to be built on the origin site of the first fraelings, it was a massive city. The deepest known city to exist, it has an ambient temperature of around 300°F (150°C). Few creatures can survive that temperature, and it's expected that the city is an empty ruin at this point. It rose in prominence when Vishik the Viscious began his conquest of the surface after having a meteoric rise in fame as he made he ascent through the deep lands. Several peoples tried to make it their home, their safe haven away from their troubles, but it is practically inhospitable for most.
There is a story that a group of specialists from The Order of Ashes made the long journey to the city to flood it with lava. Volcanic activity and shifting plates in the region make some skeptical that the story is propaganda against the fraelings and Vishik. Some view it as a natural disaster. None have bothered navigating the dangerous routes to the city because it hasn't held any practical value. Zealots and pilgrims sometimes attempt to journey there, but never seem to return.
