Oddbasil - The World Vine
A mighty, tree with thick, iron bark. It has the deepest roots of all the deeproot trees on Pallo. The vines that grow from it sprout iron buds. The organism as a whole is known as Oddbasil - the world vine.
The Iron Heart's location is unknown. Three myths are told of its origin and location. One myth is that the Iron Heart is actually an artifact or original creator of Oddbasil, long dead or lost. Another is that the Iron Heart isn't a tree, but a vein of magic metal deep within Pallo that transforms to vines closer to the surface. The third, and most widely spread, is that the tree is located in a thick jungle/forest like The Wyldlands of Dreisturme, the Feywood in the permafrost, or the jungles of Cardeia.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
It is the source of Oddbasil Dryads. Beyond sustaining the Oddbasilians, the iron buds are used to forge items or even sold as raw material. The iron is not as plentiful as mined iron, but it is easier to enchant and is replenishable.
