Legend of the Mortal Ones
Within Southern Pallet, a myth is told that it was not the Creators who rebuilt the world after its destruction. but rather the mortals Velkron brought to this destroyed land that did a bulk of the work.
Summary
The Mortal Ones is a poem, said to relate to the first mortals who came to Pallet.
In Southern Pallet, it is believed that the first Mortals of Pallet were brought in to accomplish the tasks the Creator’s were not able to do. As it’s widely believed Pallet’s formation began in the south and expanded north, many believe that these first Mortals did a majority of the work that was credited to the Creators, before they learned their trade.
The poem goes over what each mortal’s tasks were in the creation of Pallet, adding animalistic traits to them to match with the demographic of Southern Pallet.
In a lot of ways, the different animals within the poem can also correspond to the Creators, The Rat and Bull are often associated with Velkron. The tiger is specifically denoted as a she, and is often related to Fililia along with the Rabbit.
The Dragon and Snake is Angelico, bringing wisdom and knowledge to the world, while the Monkey and Boar can be Razzle and Dazzle, the Jesters. Finally the Rooster and the Wolf are often associated with Kasengar, with the Rooster alarming the Wolf to dangers.
The Lizard and Frog are rather unknown entities, but are sometimes associated with Khazikis, being lookouts upon Pallet to find and make their ways to errors within the creation to be destroyed and made anew.

No one knows who wrote "The Mortal Ones" or its origins.
Spread
The Mortal Ones is a well known Legend within Southern Pallet, as it creditted each of the Beastkin with the Creation of Pallet. It is a common reading in religious works, and also is commonly repeated to children at a young age.
Bards are known to come up with tales of each individual Mortal, naming their accomplishments in their own stories and spreading the myth beyond the borders of Southern Pallet.
