Svang
The ancient Tal technique of inlaying steel with gold, combining the strength of steel with the easily enchantable nature of gold. The technique has been long lost to time, with the last era of history with the ability to use the technique being during the time of ancient Rularia, before the Gods of Rularia's Ascendant were elevated into divinity, and instead lived and ruled over Rularia on the material plane. The masters of this technique being the ancient Dwarves, the Dvergr, who would forge many a weapon now annaled in history and used by the Gods, like Gungnir, Skjufn, Exilla and many more.
The techinque is still revered for its heritage by the Venkan-Ori people, who still hold true to the worship of the Ascendant Gods, and thus the name for the technique is Svang, the ancient Rularian word for the techinque.
The Tal would know it by a different name, calling the techinque, Asi'li.
Utility
Svang was used to create powerful artefacts and weapons, that were easiliy enchantable. In the hands of Tal smiths the technique was even more powerful and potent, being instrumental in the way Tal weapons and artefacts would shape themselves to their weilder. Heightening the enchantment placed upon the artefact, shaping its abilities and powers to its weilder.
Access & Availability
During the time of the Hillarian people the technique was fairly common to those of nobility, and many of the nobles who ascended carried their weapons into divinity, like Odin with his spear Gungnir. Some nobles would leave their weapon behind, like Freyja with her sword Exilla.
In modern times the technique has been completly lost, and as such the only weapons and armour that utilies the technology are ancient Tal or Hillarian artefacts located in ruins and dungeons that have slowly been rediscovered in the wake of the Draconic Resurgence.
