Is Lorcan the kind of antagonist we can ceaselessly whack with a rolled newspaper until he realizes he lost yet another loved one and this time it's totally his fault, so we can watch him wail while he witness the stable gang (I love them!) and his ex girlfriend free themselves and live happily forever after? Or we should hope for a redemption that involves the people he hurt being very forgiving? Both?? Why Lorcan! You started so well! *whacks him with the rolled newspaper, but not too hard*
Both. Both? Both. Both is good. It won't necessarily be a redemption arc so much as it is a point of no return, eventually followed by closure.
Both is very good. I am very invested in these characters and the book is not even out yet XD
You're gonna make me cry <3 I'll likely be looking for beta readers on book one in late January/early February, so keep an eye out ^_^
I cling to the hope of a redemption arc, but I'm also with Simo. *whacks Lorcan with a rolled newspaper*
Not gonna lie, Moriarty was definitely one of the original inspirations for this character, at least in his first iteration xD
Did you catch the Victorian parlour game that Janet mentioned. It involves 2 players being blindfolded, one says "Moriarty, are you there?" the other says "Yes" and both start trying to hit each other with rolled up newspapers. That's what I was alluding to.
Hmmm he sounds like a dude who pities himself way too much, I have to say I don't really wish to see a redemption arc for him though closure does sound very interesting ^^
He's definitely too far gone, though a lot of people tend to vote for him until Book Two. :)
