Corn

Corn is a tall, sturdy plant with long, green leaves and a large, yellow ear of kernels. The kernels are encased in a protective husk and grow in rows along the cob.     Corn is typically cultivated in fertile fields and requires ample sunlight and water to thrive. It is a common crop in many agricultural areas, often grown in large fields specifically for its kernels. While it prefers open fields, it can also be grown in smaller garden plots if sufficient space and sunlight are available. Corn is a warm-weather crop and is typically planted in the spring and harvested in the autumn. It is a domesticated plant, rarely found growing wild in significant quantities.     Corn is a versatile and widely used crop. The kernels can be eaten fresh, roasted, boiled, or ground into cornmeal. Corn is used to make a variety of foods, including cornbread, tortillas, popcorn, and many other dishes. It is also used to feed livestock. Beyond its culinary uses, corn is sometimes used in crafting. The dried husks can be woven into mats or used to make dolls, and the cobs can be used as fuel for fires. While not typically used in magical potions, corn is sometimes used in simple folk remedies.
