Tarrog
Tarrog the Tarralich is a horrifying splash of blood on the books of Othealia's history. His reign shows the true ignorance and destructive power of giving unlimited divine power to humaniods. The beginning of his reign marked the end of the Era of Devotion.
Tarrog was massive for a tarrasque. His Carapace was a blinding white where the blood of his enemies was clear, creating massive red streaks across his body as the clumps of corpses fell off the beast's back. As a humanoid, he appeared as a white dragonborn in exquisite clothing often red and orange robes that fell in a long train behind him.
Tarrog began as a slumbering Tarrasque deep underneath the land now referred to as the Stravallian Desert. When some of the most powerful clerics and mages received a vision from Ichigo prophecying the tarrasque's awakening. Some of the mages and clerics took this to be a warning of the beast and to do their best to stop the tarrasque from waking up. At the same time, others say the prophecy was more symbolic and was untrusting of the Vile Majesty's command, choosing to not only ignore their warning but expedite Tarrog's awakening. While both groups argued it led to a battle in the beast's lair in which Tarrog was not only awakened but given sentience and intelligence. As those long-dead casters were decimated under Tarrog's unknowing gate it began to tunnel and destroy the land above.
Post Awakening
When Tarrog emerged on the surface of Countillan, he destroyed the cities beneath him and fed on the souls of those caught in his wake. As he did so he began to notice these creatures had souls and those souls could be used to his benefit. As he headed towards a long-gone city of wizards he demanded to learn their talents and once he devoured all the arcane knowledge they possessed he moved on to the next city and the next. Through this hunger for knowledge, he toppled empires, killing millions, but not for long. As he has now learned how to alter his form to more manageable sizes, he noticed that the ants that trailed behind him were followers worshiping his power. While possessing a humanoid size, he could experience and enjoy the luxuries of an emporer and yet he felt a longing for something more. This is when he ran into [insert ancient lich here]. This lich taught him how to twist life and spit in the face of Lady Death herself. The dark ritual of undead immortality was successful and Tarrog found his title of "Tarrog the Tarralich". During his reign, he acquired many followers, some by choice, some by fear, and some by undead servitude. He built the great Empire of Domtaris which sprawled across seas. The empire was filled with anarchy as all were required to protect and serve every whim of their leader who could crush them and their cities with a single spell. As his empire expanded he conquered all of Countillan and began to spread his influence to other continents such as (continent to east) and the now forgotten continent that resided where the God Devourer's crater is now. It took over 1300 years for a rebellious force to successfully gather arms brave enough to end his reign of decimation. This rebellion was led by Straval the Defender. The seige that fell the great Tarralich was in southern Countillan where his bones still lay today. The death of such a powerful creature destroyed much of the already decimated Stravallian desert. In the remains of his empire and skeleton, a city-state now exists spiteful of its founder but honors those lost by keeping the name Domtaris. Last Edited By: Onyx Artist Unknown
