The God Devourer's Terror

When the God Devourer (or Argtithesis by its true name) awoke it created a massive hole in Othealia, as if a bite had been taken from the world. Millions died but they were completely forgotten as well as the continents, kingdoms, and cultures they lived in. The Devourer filled the atmosphere of Othealia with a noxious gas that caused millions to forget they ever saw the Devourer awake and any of those it consumed.   The creature that is hundreds of miles long appears as a tadpole-like creature with inky black skin with a neon yellow arcane web caught in its underbelly. It has 11 eyes that are black with similar yellow pupils, with millions of others that are much smaller but observe all. It has three thousand arms with thick hands and long fingers that outline the sides of its underbelly like a centipede. Anything that gets trapped inside its web or thousand-yard maw is instantly forgotten by all except for the gods themselves.   After consuming the continents it had slept under for so many years it moved on to larger prey, the largest prey, in fact, the gods. After devouring several lesser gods, the Twenty were terrified at the news of apex predators. This was the first creature beside another god that had the capability of destroying one of their own. They fought tirelessly in battle until another new entity appeared. He appeared to have the same power as a god but with knowledge beyond their account. He was not a predator or had the animalistic hunger of the God Devourer, he was just like them. He called himself Roux, the god of the multiverse.   He held a staff of roiling static. The sound produced made the gods wince in pain and so did the God Devourer. It made the first sound to come from its throat, a wailing scream as the noise began to snap the arcane webs that held its insides together. In fear, anger, and pain the creature lunged at the god with the brightest light. It swallowed Alazo whole and he was forgotten by all of his followers. The lunge and the snaping web allowed the rest of the Twenty to swoop in and defeat the beast once in for all. However, the ripples caused by the entity's hunger are felt throughout the rest of Othealia's history, almost completely unknown to mortal kind.   Last Edited By: Onyx
