Melexis Arvenson

Melexis Arvenson is a very powerful mage. She has long red hair and wears sparkling silver robes. She is the head mage and dean of the Threads of Amber.
She is known by the public to be very generous and wealthy and often offers funding to those who ask with good reason. She comes from a wealthy line of mages. Her father, Fredrick Arvenson, is the leader of Gurrel but she no longer tries to associate with him due to the family's scandal and his bad reputation.
Behind closed doors, she does share her father's brutality. She enjoys testing and experimenting and often cares not for those who get caught in the crossfire. She often can be paranoid, especially with the publicity she carries as well as the powerful and dangerous objects. She shares her research and insight on the arcane economy and development with her father. In return, the Arvenson Family is secretly funding her research.
