Pruner
A good pruner cultivates a class of Purgers that are better than the last, a great pruner ensures that the growth of their cadets grows exponentially even after their care, the best pruner finds a cadet that needs their dead ends cut off and cleaned up, removes the weeds around them and raises them to thrive amongst the garden.
Pruners excel at training up the next generation of purgers focusing on martial skills, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Most are no longer active purgers though it is not uncommon for some to be on reserve. Pruners hold no overt allegiance to a particular purger or company but powerful purgers may hire a pruner to train their armies.
Most pruners are trained and train purgers at The Nursery. The mobility of the training facility allows for pruners to train their cadets across various Lanfen biomes and on a variety of fiends.
Career
Qualifications
In order to be a pruner, you have to have relevant experience in team-building, people management, martial combat, and leadership. Most pruners have a purger background but it is not a requirement just a common occurrence.
Pruners must be able to spend extended time with their cadets or if employed by The Nursery or a purger company they must be able to provide quality service. Since all pruners must train at The Nursery they have to make sure to stay up to standards.
Career Progression
There are three recognized steps of pruner, junior pruner, pruner adept, and master pruner. Junior pruner is granted after finishing training the other two steps require years of experience and quality checks of prior trainees.
Payment & Reimbursement
Pruners are paid for their services but there is no standard for it. If one is hired by The Nursery their pay is based off the number of cadets they help graduate. If one is hired by a purger company they may pay in room and board or riches or exposure, if the company is under the command of an Exalted then that is a major reputation boost.
Other Benefits
Pruners find work off of their reputation, some pruners are able to lavish lives comparatively to the rest of Lanfe.
