Patroc{olus}
Neutral god of life, survival, nature, the sea, observation, preservation, and undeath
Cultural Significance
When the world was young, the seas were dominated by a mighty serpent, Tursa, the Maw of Worlds. It is said that nothing could survive Tursa's endless hunger and the only life was that which could eke by hidden in crags and crevices. Patroc emerged from a crag, and tricked the serpent into chasing him in a circle. This motion with Tursa's enormous size and speed created a whirlpool so strong that not even Tursa could escape it. With Tursa trapped, the seas became safe enough for life and navigation. Known as Patrocolus in the modern Ostian pantheon. Known as Patroc in the seas surrounding Myrmidon, where he has long been seen patron.Domains
