Vulcan Hearst

Vulcan Hearst was the head blacksmith of the royal Laitore family in Vildrose, Tressant before the Laitore family was wiped out during a coup d'etat. During the coup Vulcan risked his life in order to rescue a young Leon Valere, Midas Laitore, and Charlotte Valere. All of whom most likely would've been killed if not for his help. With his own wife and son (Castor Hearst) and these children he fled to Argos, the local College.
From there they would be safe from the new ruling family of Terresant, the Bastille family. They had not broken any laws and the only one who truly had to be hidden was Midas Laitore since he was the prince and rightful heir to the throne of Terresant. Charlotte and Leon were only temporarily wanted as the Valere family was framed for the coup d'etat but since they were both only children it was not thought that they had any involvement. As such Vulcan and those he brought with him were safe in the country.
Vulcan began serving as the head blacksmith for Argos, working directly under Lebon Derfla. Vulcan served as a kind, gentle, and wise uncle to Leon and Midas, talking with them whenever they argued among each other or with Lebon. Vulcan is a kind but stern father to his two living sons Castor Hearst and Roy Hearst. He had had a daughter in between them but she died before being born, a tragedy that Vulcan does not like to speak about and one of the key reasons he adopted Marie.
