Great Colleges

The Great Colleges were founded by the 3 Sages after being trained in the art of Manus. There are 5 of them, one in each country, Edessa, Argos, Corinth, Kavala, and Patras. These Colleges are located in obscured places, often in the middle of heavily wooded forests, marshes, or mountain ranges.
The Great Colleges are home to most of Ostara's Magi and are responsible for training them. They take this responsibility extremely seriously and training is very rigorous. They organize these Magi under different titles based off their merits and abilities. They then send these Magi on missions or patrols through out the continent. While the Great Colleges are united in their goals they do not always see to eye to eye and have been known to have minor squabbles in the past.  
The Great Colleges are said to have been enchanted by the 3 Sages through Rituals. These enchantments are said to have made the Colleges impossible to see from a distance, notoriously hard to locate, and supposedly even fog your memory of its location upon leaving the surrounding area. For these reasons the Great Colleges exist outside the rule of the local monarchies. Though they have been known to work with and assist monarchies, towns, and kingdoms of their respective countries.
The Great Colleges have a few ideals. Firstly to protect humanity from demons and increase their understanding of Od, Vis and its relationship to Gaia and humanity.
