Magi

A Magi is any human being who has learned to harness their Od and use it in the form of their Manus . Most Magi begin their training and meditating at a young age as ones Od is very difficult to tame and master. Most magi are trained in one of the 5 great Colleges spread through out the continent or are trained by resident Magi in the Royal Families of each Country. However there are small splinter schools or masters in the form of hermits that dot the countryside. The majority of Magi are employed by local town leaders, lords, and kings, mostly in hunting demons or defending Keeps and Castles.
Magi were feared and despised for the first half of this millennia, still feared to have been the cause of The Great Plague that nearly wiped out all of humanity. Now though in current year these fears have mostly fallen to the wayside and Magi are becoming more and more common. Unfortunately Rogue Magi are also becoming more common in the form of bandit leaders and savage mercenaries willing to kill anyone for the highest pay.
In the past 200 years Magi have become significantly more common in the world, meaning lots of bandit groups and mercenary camps now have many magi in their ranks.
