The Corruption of Kiera

"...And, with the dark energies corrupting the air between his hands and the corpse of his exlover, the villain set upon his dark deed." -One poet's retelling from the Hangman's Knot tavern, Kirkridge District, Jantocar, 220 MGE

Summary

As Ivan threw himself into his deiform against the wishes of the Goddess Matriarch, he found himself at odds with Jessia, the Giver of Divinity. She came to him in an aspect to scold him and ask him to return his divine spark and he refused, finding her condescending and enraging. Led by his arrogance, Ivan found himself in league with Lakio in his war against Jessia. Taking it upon himself to strike at the Holy Mother and weaken her emotionally, Ivan set his eyes upon her daughters, the Aspects. Using his superficial charm to win her over, Ivan became especially close to the Divine Aspect of Love as well as her twin, the Aspect of Envy. Using his dark magics, he sent Envy into a rage that ended in the death of Love. As her wits returned to her, Envy cried out for any magics that could restore her sister. In that moment, Ivan stepped from the shadows and offered her a deal: the return of her sister for a sacrifice of herself. Hesitantly, knowing the darkness inside Ivan, Envy agreed. So Ivan set out all his might to force their essences together, creating Keira, a goddess of love, but also the goddess of jealousy. Ivan used her confusion after her creation to implant thoughts in Keira's head, infatuating her with him, creating an obsessive fixation that he would manipulate to keep her enslaved.

Imitations or other artist's interpretations are in the halls of some nobility or other members of The Surapo. A statue based off of the original marks the end of the Bell Farthings where it meets Graymoor, at the intersection of Church Street and Sura Row, in Jantocar.
