Ivan was a sadomasochist cult leader who enthralled and mind controlled everyone he ever could place a hand on. Eventually, he focused enough of their sacrifices- their passions, their magic, their souls- into a facsimile of a divine spark and raised himself as a pseudo-God. Striking while she was distracted fighting Lakio, Ivan finally stole a true spark from Jessia and earned her ire. She tried to condescend him and convince him to return his prize but it only angered him.
Angry, divine, and driven to join Lakio in his war against Jessia, Ivan decided to strike her in her heart. He targeted her daughter, the Aspect of Love and enslaved her mind. He forced her to fuse with the Aspect of Envy to create the new goddess of jealous, possessive love, his new lover Keira.
Ever since, he has fought against the emotionally weakened Jessia as fiercely as his ally Lakio, although he has his own plans for the endgame.
